Office of Testing & Quality Assurance

In the trend of internationalization of the education system of Vietnam, the Ministry of Education and Training has issued the policy that the office of testing and quality assurance is a required office for all higher education institutions in any form. Thus, the establishment of the Office of Testing and Quality Assurance in Dai Nam University is a requisite for the university.

I. Functions

The office is established in 2010 under the Decision No.17/QD-DN-HDQT signed by the Chairman of the university. The office is in charge of consulting and directing all activities related to testing and quality assurance.

II. Responsibilities

1. Testing

• Preparing the testing process and examinations in the university.
• Consulting the Chairman and the Committee of School Management on examinations and quality assurance. Directing the test design, test printing, exam monitoring,  grading, results storing…
• Developing the bank of tests and the testing forms for every course.
• Applying the technology into management, teaching, learning and research activities.

2. Quality assurance

• Developing and presenting the plan for the quality assurance in the university.
• Developing and reviewing criteria for quality assurance (including: teaching methods, learning methods, training quality checking…)
• Collecting students’ responses on teacher quality and employers’ responses on student quality.
• Organizing the self-evaluation for the university based on the criteria of higher education quality issued by the Ministry of Education and Training. Cooperating with other quality checking organizations to implement the quality checking process for the university.
• Organizing workshops on quality assurance for the university.
